Whining Noise Plz Help

hi people ive had my is200 sport for about 12mths, i have noticed since i have bought the car a whining noise but when clutch is pressed the noise stops ???? the noise is worse when first started ??? but clutch does not slip and i have very smooth gear changes ??? also when i am driving the car seems to whislte like its turbo'd ?? please help this has got me baffled ??

Hi mate, yeh all belts are fine and tensioned fine, cambelt was changed at 65k am now on 71k. i have taken it to a few local garages but all they say is that they wont know till they take it apart which is going to cost, just need a idea what it could be first.

sounds like your clutch release bearing is away matey.mine also sounded like it was wistle'n found out the noise was coming from my wing mirrors(air rushing through the gap between the base and the mirror)used some foam padding and that sorted it!

I've had a whihing noise for years.. It happened shortly after I got married :shutit:

It gets to it's worst point when I visit the mother-in-law, seems to come from both sides :whistling:
