This will depend on whether you have specified a 'goal' temperature on the climate control or whether you have it set to full cold, also the temperature of the air it's trying to cool, e.g. if its 25 degrees outside and your trying to cool the air it'll have a harder time than if the temperature was 20 degrees.

I did read a while ago though that the temperature when set to full cold running at peak efficiency should be somewhere around 8 degrees.

Maplin do a £20 digital thermometer, or a cheaper £15 probe type.

Why don't you take it into a Kwik Fit site and get them to "service" the AC, they had an offer that if they couldn't get it 10% lower than the initial reading the service was free.....worked on my wifes BMW :shifty:

I know people shy away from the Kwik-Fit chains but its worth a try....they don't even have to lift a spanner :whistling: everything else after unscrewing the AC caps is automatic on the machine, the same machine as Lexus use I expect!

best regards David
