Hello all.

I have a 1999 SE is200, and have been offered an LSD from a 2000 Sport. Would this go stright on or is there other things, such as driveshafts etc that i would need?

Yeah if you want to drift lol. Seriously though it is worth having - but not really at the cost for retrofitting it on the non supercharged model. It does give you better handling on the limit and the benefit of having it is increased with the charger - but there are other suspension mods ARBs for example that will increase the handling more.

thanks edeath. i do like the odd drift hehe lol. i have ARBS but cant afford coilovers at the moment so LSD would be next.

I wouldn’t say that is true. I can feel a major difference with out LSD on the Lex.

It depends on how you drive your car.

LSD is not only for drifting. If you just use your car to plod along to town and back, then it will make no difference. However if you are into track days, or just driving dangerously fast on the streets, then you will notice on bends that your inside wheel will lose traction and spin. With the LSD it will send torque to both wheels, so they will keep traction, and move at the same rate.

But like I said, it all depends on your driving style and how you use you use your car.

If you feel that you don’t have the need to drive fast and don’t want it, please let me know, and I will pick it up in an instant !!!!

BTW, I do track days, and that’s why I would want LSD.....not for driving fast on public roads.

Still debating if I want one or not also. The race logic Traction control apparently is amazing at keeping the car safe on the limit, but a LSD would finish the handling package of my car.
