Alpine Lead ?

Recommended Posts

Assuming you have an SE or a Sport, you'll need one of these cables to bypass the amp

Then you'll need a facia and a direct lead to the Battery. Alpine units require a direct connection to the positive terminal as they tend to draw a bit of power. Once in they work great as i have an Alpine head unit.

Alpines work with the bypass lead without any problems.

I have fitted two in IS's and Aaron has one also, all with the bypass lead and iirc wozza also used this without problems.

If youhave had to wire back to the Battery then there is either a prob with the unit or the wiring. Alpine would not build a unit that required extra work over the others, would lose them sooo much market share.

There is no probem with wiring a fused spur to the Battery but it is a lot of extra work that you shouldnt need.

all you need is the bypass lead and the facia kit...

Thats odd, in my Alpine manual it states that it needs a lead back to the Battery. My unit is a few years old however.

@eddieblock

took me around 1hr to do my stereo, the hardest part is taking the cable out of the amp, once thats done its plain sailing. there's also a guide on here on how to remove the existing radio.
