My Ls Is Running Sounds Like A Harley Davidson What Could This Be?

My 90`LS over heated the other night..other then fixing the over heating problems..it sounds like a harley davidson motorcycle now wen I turn it on..like the enginge is running really tired and slow..and studders wen I try 2 drive it.what can this be?

Please suggestions and tips this my first lexus

If its really rough and no power, it could be just running on 4 cylinders, mine did that, the HT coil had failed, the one on the l/h side, kinda hidden under the exhaust. It is in a hotter environment than the one on the top of the engine and is a relatively common failure.You get 2 cylinders firing on each bank.

Pull the HT lead out of the distributor, one side at a time, with the failed one unplugged, the car runs the same, with the good one unpluged, the car won't start
