Avoid!!!

Haven't tried it personally in my IS200, but I did read on here a few years ago that stuff like this is not suited to Toyota/Lexus engines.

Years ago I used to use something similar called "Nitrox hot shot" which felt like it was doing some good.

Was never really sure though whether it was real or just my imagination

Wasn't sure if it still existed but just done a quick dig about and seems it does

Basically a methanol additive which claims to be good at cleaning the engine out too.

I should add this was all quite a few years before I got my IS200.

I use Forte all the time, which is supposedly the industry standard. Never done any harm. But I get it free. My emissions had improved on the gas analyzer at MoT time after 12months of the stuff (one every two months or so).

I'm inclined to say that all this kind of stuff is snake oil... Redex and its like were born back in the bad old days when cars regularly needed a decoke.... but the standards of fuel and fueling systems have improved beyond all recognition... Can anyone here say when they last needed a decoke? Keep your money in your pocket.

It used to wear the engine out quicker as well, cars had a bit of a habit of burning oil a lot more years ago and the rubbish that built up inside the engine helped to seal it up, as soon as you cleared it all out they'd start burning oil.
