Hi i have just spoke to the salvage company who will be getting some digital images for me by COP today latest tomorrow.

Further details as requested

Milage: 130k with full lex history deal code 515

Color Metallic burgundy

Full leather (as usual)

Everything worked perfect prior to the accident

Rear Tyres Continental only 4 months old driven for less than 2000 miles

new customer exhaust from CAT back stainless steel (was far cheaper than a Lex exhaust)

Damage spec :front bumper, bonnet, grill, lights, i believe the rad has been damaged as well.

I will post the pics as soon as i get them

Category C - possible structural damage but the vehicle is repairable. The cost of the damage would have been more than the book value of the car if that repairs were carried out at garage prices and official manufacturers parts.

It's not going to be worth a lot.

Hi yes the insurance has wrote off the vehicle, they say the repair cost with genuine Lexus parts is in excess of £10k......... im sure with parts off another salvage Lex the repair would be no more than £1000.00.

Is it worth me getting the car back off the salvage company and breaking it for spares? or repair get it repaired?

Thanks

You could buy it back and repair it yourself, but you will still be left with a cat c repaired car that no one would want to buy (when you do come to sell).

I'd take the money from the insurance co and buy a replacement if I was you.

I would say if you have to ask the question then don't do it. Take the insurance money and buy a replacement car. You ( or anybody else would never be to sure about a repaired CAT C. Leave it to the experts who no how to break a car ;)
