Not sure on Lexus main dealer approach to this but personally, over the years, once the working mechanism of the electric roof is lubed with light oil or WD40, I have used a petroleum jelly solution (or Vaseline) to coat around the felt weather seal around the sunroof, this i have found is ideal for keeping the green algae away and preserving the seal by keeping all manor of british weather from degrading it.

I use an aerosol for rubber lubrication from Halfords, made by Holts, and it's very good. Use it on the door seals too. http://www.wilcodirect.co.uk/index.php?mai...roducts_id=1208

THANKS guys

I really appreciate the detailed responses...

do you guys know if Silicon spray will be fine?? i have some of that which i used for the door seals..

thanks again

The Holts rubber and nylon lubricant is exactly that, a silicone spray. :)

* A non-staining silicone spray, for lubricating and protecting rubber and nylon surfaces

* Protects against hardening and cracking

* Unaffected by extremes of temperature.

Guys, can I use the silicone spray on my windows inside the door glass run?????

I use it on the seal to the glass, but haven't really thought about using it on the guide channels. No reason not to, and probably a good idea.
