Door Courtesy Light

Same on mine, I had then on my Celica GT and thought they where quite cool.

I have thought about connecting a wire to set them up but equally like you have no wish to pull the roof down to get

a the curtesy light to install it.

It would be interesting to see if anyone has done it or has any thoughts on it.

Can we order the housing from Toyota ?

it would be easier to use the feed from the instrument cluster if its possible, and probably be able to share a ground in the door from one of the components.

This would mean having to feed a wire in through the door grommet which would probably be the most difficult/fiddly part.

Let us know how you get on

I've just broken my old car which was a Celica and have taken the housing and wiring from the doorcards of that with the intention trying to wire to the ciggy lighter. Its part of the same circuit as the roof lighting, its just finding the right wire!

From a cosmetic perspective though, I only have two and would want to do all four doors so I've got LED puddle lighting strips instead and I'm going to do something a bit unique with my red lenses
