What Are The Benefit Of These

hello, ive been looking at a grounding earth kit and wondered of the purpose and benefits of these as an upgrade to the car are they worth buying if so for what purposes.

Apparently they are supposed to improve the earth return of all electrical loads therefore making the car electrics more efficient ie. better throttle response, brighter lights, clearer audio etc. etc.

But to be honest unless your wiring or terminals are all corroded, you should be ok.

A lot of people install these kits for engine dress up purposes, myself included.

Someone might have had positive results but i didn't detect much difference, maybe a slightly smoother idle.

No one seems to have definitive conclusions from them but like Talisker says their also good for Dress up.

They seem to work better on some vehicles than others. It more than likely comes down to how good the factory earthing system is in the first place.

I put one on my Levin BZ-G. The digital volt meter in the Apexi SAFCII used to read a maximum of about 13.8v. Once I installed the grounding kit it read 14.4v. I put one in the Altezza. It only has OE analogue volt meter but I didn't notice much movement so one can only hope it's made an improvement?

If you can pick one up cheap enough then you've got nothing to lose IMO.

thanks guys, dont think i ll bother yet just put my altezza boot spoiler on it only cost me 50 quid including paint bit of a pain to fit though
