Alloy Gator

Recommended Posts

O.k

So I see an advert for alloygator, a thick strip of nylon you wedge in around the wheel, to stop it getting kurbed.

Sounds sensible.

My question, anyone on here used them?

Any reviews out there amongst you owners?

Not sure anyone has used anything like that, but sounds like it might be worth a shot. But won't it make the wheel look really ugly or is it not that visible?

Hmmmm - Sounds a bit iffy to me (have you got a link to the site?) - Considering a difference of a gram or two can have an affect on wheel balance I would have thought that if these are thick and tough enough to do any good then they will weigh a few grams each.

Slightly different, but a few years back when I was buying some alloys for my old Mazda Kei Racing did some deep dish alloys which had a chrome rim on it which could be replaced if damaged. You couldn't tell that they could be removed, blended seamlessly with the wheel. I think some like the gators mentioned above would look slightly out of place on any alloy. :whistling: Just park a foot away from the curbs
