Bluetooth Phone Problem

Hi there - I'm new to the forum and would be very grateful for some Bluetooth advice, please. We have a 2006 RX400h and I want to connect it up to my new HTC Desire phone. I did what it said in the manual but it never got past the pass-key screen, ie, never connected. What do you think? Am I doing something wrong? Is my phone too new for the car? I'm baffled.

I had a similar problem on my IS220d when trying to connect my Nokia phone.

A friend told me to send all my contacts as "business cards" from the phone. This allowed me to download all my contacts at the same time instead of entering them individually. Probably saved me half a weekend !!!!!!!

Thanks for this - sounds good. But I can't get that far - it doesn't even recognise the phone. Do you know how to get it to recognise it?

Have you made the phone discoverable?

I have a Nexus One (essentially the same as your Desire) and it works fine with my 2005 GS Mk3

I have HTC too and works ok with the GS. I downloaded an Ap called Bluetooth File Transfer, worked great. Read your RX manual for connecting car to a Bluetooth device.Boring I know but it's what I did to remind myself!
