Rx400H Interior And Exterior Bulbs And Other Accessories

Just having bought my 2005 RX400h, I want to ensure I have all the necessary items that I would need in case of breakdown, emergency and the likes. I wanted to find out first off what bulbs fit my RX and where I can buy them for cheap. I would like to have atleast 1 bulb each as a spare for all the exterior bulbs for the car. If a bulb goes out, I would not have to go into halfrauds and pay a premium for getting the bulb right there. I understand the car has Xenon bulbs with HID? I might be wrong, I am very new to all this.

Which bulbs do you guys recommend, and where can I buy a spare bulb kit perhaps for the RX400h 2005?

The headlamps should be the HID variety. Not sure what type of bulb you would need though. For the other bulbs I remember my local Lex dealer selling a kit with a variety of other bulbs in (probably for when touring in Europe) for about £20. Suggest you give them a call.

Lastly, i'm sure the manual listed all the variety of bulbs so have a look there as well.

Thanks for the reply. I wanted to source all the bulbs myself as I have found that dealing with lexus always has a steep premium. I did look at the manual and the bulbs in the list are quite standard, although getting good quality bulbs from sellers on eBay is the main task right now.

For example, the manual says I should use D2S bulbs for the headlamp dipped. Called up Lexus to get a price and almost fell off the chair. £198 + VAT for a single HID D2S Xenon bulb WTF???

Let me repeat that...

WTF?! Surely it's just a HID bulb?? Hmmm. Really hope mine don't go anytime soon...
