Website & Forum Grumbles

I get really annoyed with the load times and constant freezing of the forums to the point where I'm not going to pay for GOLD.

I've paid to use Owners club forums before but only after I've tried them out for a while. Since actually joining, things have gotten slower and more tedious to navigate.

Go onto Celica-club.co.uk and you can navigate on and type within seconds of clicking something. I've been a fully paid up member there for 3 years and have loved it. Before that, FTOOC was the same and I was on there for 4 years.

I appreciate admin do their best to keep the site running but its off putting posting up anything because it takes an absolute age.

Maybe I'm being grumpy and as a relative noob to the site, who am I to complain? Well, nobody I guess IF i'm alone in how I feel?

I'm proud to be a Lexus (OK - Toyota) owner but considering this site is probably the most notorious for lexus owners, I'm surpirsed its not as smooth running as a GS450 auto box (my dad has one). Perhaps the typical owner doesn't have previous OC experience and its expected as the norm?

Thats my thoughts in writing anyway...so......am on my own and do I need to get my coat?

For me it's quite slow, but not to the point where it annoys me. However, if the admins ever need any help with hosting then they can take this as an open invitation to chat with me. I host a fair few Invision / vBulletin boards along with several very high traffic websites using my own servers located in central London.

Hmm, well I do mainly browse from my work PC but it operates off XP (Microsoft IE6) and I don't have issues with other sites or forums so figured it was the site!

Celica-Club uses Invision and runs like a dream

Must admit I was having problems with the previous board (time delays etc) but this one is running fine for me on Firefox
