Tested my brakes today, ebc grooved and drilled discs all round and green stuff pads, from 90 to 0 in no time at all, fantastic...changing over to the red stuff next.

has anyone used the yellow stuff???????:D

Hi glad you are happy with your new brakes disc and pads.On a more serious note did you have them changed purely for comestic reasons or because you wanted better braking?Would you consider it good value for money as ebc seem to have red stuff, yellow stuff and green stuff and some cost as much as 3 times your standard discs and pads?I was thinking of going down the same route myself. However it seems that unless you have a track car or one with a hugely modified engine then you dont really see the benefits of the up graded brakes as the standard ones are adequate enough.Whats your take?

i needed new discs and pads all round,I was quoted just over 400 for discs and pads all round by toyota, so i poped into national tyre services for a puncture repair and found out they did ebc brakes and he quoted me 485 for the lot so i went for it, now i dont know what the standard ones are like when new, but i can tell you that what i have now are head and shoulders better than what i had. p.s i changed purely for performance not at all for cosmetic.

Personally always used Ferodo pads, can't fault them at all, at any temp. Just my two bits :-)

Agreed, got them on our track Integra, the DS2500 they are amazing.

It was the DS2500's I had on my scooby and they were awesome, I had Mintex on it when I got it, when I swapped to the Ferodo's the difference was night and day.

You'd probably find that the DS2500's are overkill for an IS200, I had them on my Scooby because it was nearing 400bhp :-) and he has them on a track day car. But Ferodo do fast road pads too, I think they just call them Ferodo Motorsport or something. I'll be gettin them on mine when the time comes for new pads. FYI, most touring car teams use the Motorsport pads on the rear and the DS2500's on the front, just so you know :-)
