Hi all

I've been registered and posted a handful of times but never introduced myself. So better late than never!

Got a 99 IS200 manual with no mods, nothing fancy, for a while now.

Literally just realised the tax is more than doubling next year (if I'm not mistaken)... DOH! and grrrrrrrr...

What makes you think that? Did you not pay £205 last year?

You are not reading it correctly. That rate does not apply to your car as it is a 1999 car. Cars pre March 2001 are taxed on engine size NOT emissions

Even if it was registered after 2001, no IS200 owner will have to pay more than £245 for 12 months because, and I quote...

"Band K includes cars that have a CO2 figure over 225g/km but were registered before 23 March 2006"

So as all of the older series IS were only produced up untill 2005 the most any IS200 owner will have to pay is £245. :)
