Is 200 Se Rear Light Failure Warning Light

Hi,

As above - I have a 04 IS200 SE and "rear light failure warning light" comes on the dash board.

I can confirm that this light is not working.

Looking at the manual page 62 - it says that you need to replace the bulb.

Is this correct?

Or do they use LED's?

Is this easy to take out?

How does the light come off.

open the boot, the caps on the black part of the light cluster are exposed, remove the 2 caps and unscrew the screws, the light cluster pulls away with not a lot of effort at all, it kind of hooks on with a lip on the bottom edge and a push in clip near the top, this will become more obvious when u actually pull it away and then u can get at the bulb holders, twist the relevent holder quarter to half a turn and it'll come undone from the cluster

Thanks - It was a lot more straight forward that I anticipated.

I've replaced and confirmed the light is working - however still getting the rear light failure warning light on the dash board.

I might just try and reseat bulb in the morning and check any lose connections.

I reseated the bulb and the light on the dashboard is gone.
