Why Doesn't My Central Locking Or Fuel Gage Work After I Reconnect

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I'm just new on here and hoping I can get sone help.. My is200 Battery died completely after not using it for a while and when I put a new one in the alarm started going off so I put the key in the ignition and turned the car on to make it stop, (which it did) I found that my fuel is always flashing empty even if it's full, my central locking doesn't work, my internal light doesn't turn on and off automatically when I open and close the doors and I also can't put any of the passenger windows up or down from the drivers door.. :/

If anyone could please help or has any idea what it is and could let me know it would be deeply appreciated, thanks heaps in advance.

It could be the dreaded water in the electrics that a lot of people seem to be experiencing at the moment (including me). Check out the threads related to headlights. If you can't check it yourself you're going to have to pay an autospark but it seems that it can be so random/intermittent that they might never get to the bottom of it properly.
