Mp3 Cd Player + Satnav -2005 Gs300 Gen3

Hi Everyone,

Im very interested in the GS300 se, first of the gen3 models, 2005.

Does the standard built in 6 disc cd player play mp3 cd's?

Eg cd-r's or cd-rw's with mp3's on it?

Also, where is the satnav dvd drive located?

Do newer nav discs update the software to enable post code entry? And allow input while on the move?

Hi,

The Cd Player will not play MP3 cd's......Just standard and Audio CD's.

The Satnav can be upgraded for input on the move.

Why not go for the SE-L...... :winky:

Shame about the mp3's...I will have to do some more reading to find the best adapter to install!

Any recommendations?

Im glad I can sort out the sat nav.

If you buy a SE L it will also play DVDs but the parking brake must be applied to prevent you from watching films on the move! I would not put any other disc in my autochanger for fear of it jamming. No to full postcode entry, only the 1st 5 characters then you have to enter the street name, bit of a pain I know and I think only discs dated 2008? onwards allow imput when moving. Map DVD is in the front passenger side glove box with on screen eject button.

I could try driving with the parkbrake on :P to watch a dvd hehe

Though im sure the lexus would realise etc!

I think transmission in Park and parking brake on and wheels not turning to prevent American style court cases!

I now own a gs300 se, 2005. Didnt find a suitable se-l in the end!
