Just got a new Lexus, as my name suggests... its a 2005 GS300 SE, it's done 11,500 miles, so is pretty much like brand new both inside and out!

I also own an old mini, which I have found being signed up to theminiforum has helped me greatly with my issues... I've got a few questions which is why I've joined here.

Welcome to the LOC, you have to post some pictures up of the car, 11,500 miles from new!

You may want to think about having the cam belt replaced, not on a mileage issue but the 6 year change period for complete piece of mind.

If you don't mind saying tell us how much was the car and how and where did you find this gem?

Hi Steve,

I will post some pictures up soon, not got any on hand atm,

I paid £12,000 for the car, which some might say was a bit high for the age, but I know that it was a local (Isle Of man) car from new and has been garaged all its life, the car drives and behaves like a brand new car and I know having done so few miles I can rely on it to be nice to me :)

The guy I bought it from had it serviced the day I picked it up (I went to the garage and saw them do this whilst also asking them about the cars condition etc.) he also taxed it for the year, which saved me £500 in total. so I was pretty pleased, as basically paid £11,500 for the car and serviced and taxed it bringing total to £12,000.

I do not know if the recall jobs have been done on it... but I will be taking it to Lexus probably tomorrow and see if they can tell me whether or not it has been done... there is no documentation suggesting that it has been done...

I will also look into the cam belt being done...

Cheers

Jason
