Anyone Have Their Rx400H / 300 Brake Callipers Painted?

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to find some pictures on google for painted RX400h brake callipers for inspiration but I just cant seem to find any. Can someone please post some pictures of the rear and front callipers painted with the Lexus stickers/ decals applied?

Why would you want to do this?

It makes the calipers look smart, especially if you add Lexus stickers. It does mean that it notices when the brake calipers are dirty though so you end up trying to wash them through the spokes of the wheel when you wash the car. Occasionally they get scraped I had my IS200 ones in red with silver Lexus logos and then later re-painted them in black with silver logos so that they looked a little less obvious but still smart. I haven't bothered with my IS220d and RX400h.

Thanks for posting pics. I am particularly interested in seeing how anyone managed to paint the rear calipers. There isnt much to paint, but I would still like to see.

BTW, I am not going to stop there. I want to get some FAT tyres on my next change. Is it possible to use the same rims and get wider tyres fitted? How wide can I go. Anyone have any experience with this?
