Problems With Sat Nav

All,

Has anyone else had problems with the OEM sc 430 sat nav?

I loaded the car's boot up this evening for the drive back to London and after about five minutes of driving switched on the sat nav. It switched on as normal and tracked the cars progress but wouldn't allow me to use most of the options including setting a destination. I left it on in the hope that it would reboot itself but it didn't. Once in the London traffic (and constant braking) it blinked back into life and I set the destination and it worked as normal.

I am thinking there could be a loose connection somewhere, esp as the boot was loaded up and there could have been some weight on the dvd unit. Anyone had similar experiences? If so how did you cure it?

Thanks in anticipation

Gareth

Without being patronising, you do know that you can't use the SatNav whilst moving, at least you can't on my 2002 SC430? When you stop or are going very slowly you can use the device. It's best to set the destination before you start your journey, then just leave it alone. In those old days it was considered a safetly feature!

Gents. thanks for the replies. Paul, I didn't realise you can't set destination while moving - I thought I had done so before, however it could have been that I edited or changed destinations on the move. I will play with it over the next few days.

Thanks Again.

Gareth
