Mk1 Gs300 & A Ipad/tablet?

I am due to get my GS300 next week. I'm looking to make use of my HP Touchpad (like an Ipad) as a way of storing music and being a GPS. So basically, I am looking to find a way of creating an aux input so the tablet can play into the car stereo as well as handling the telephone.

I've read about ways of splicing into the amplifier/changer but would prefer a more 'up-front' solution. I've seen on eBay they are selling adapters which connect to the iphone/ipod, usb and memory cards, is that going to be the best options?
