Any Auto Electricians Here?

Hi all

Basically I have just done the black headlight mod and also fitted some halo lights aswell.

They do look great by the way. Only thing is, when they are connected directly to the Battery and the car is running they work fine but when they are connected to the sidelights, the large rings are dim.

Whatever the voltage is that the altenator charges the Battery with is perfect for the halos. But why isnt that voltage getting to the sidelights? Is there maybe a surge protector or voltage limiter of somesort?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Just one other thing, I tried pulling the headlight adjusters out and now one of them makes a noise but doesnt adjust the light level. Is it kaput?

If the adjusters are like the GS ones, they connect to a rod inside the light unit, my guess would be that it has not connected with that rod (which may drop off-centre when the motor is pulled off)

ah right

I didnt actually pull the whole thing out, I tried but it wouldnt come.

I take it thats what has happened though. Is it possible to fix this without taking the light out on your GS?

cheers

No idea mate. I had just received the lamp that I had won on eBay for a tenner. I was just fannying around pulling bits off like the aim adjusters and hid ballast etc.
