Powerchip/ Piggy Back Device

Hi there guys, i have already read alot of posts where people have asked how to get more power for not alot of money out of their is200's and i have come to accept that for big difference you have to dig deep into ya back pocket... but......

Then i came across this while doing some late night browsing on the web...

http://www.tuningwizard.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=95&products_id=2234

They have 2 "power chips" for sale one claiming to add upto 40bhp and the other 25.....

The 25hp seems realistic but 40 just doesn't seem right to me....

basicly i am wondering if anyone had any experience with this company or any similar for that matter or just opinions in general? I am a little put off as many company's offer a 7day money back garentee if unhappy but this company does not.....

Thanks for your replys in advance guys

Mate send me £49 and ill provide you with the same "improvements"

it'll cost me all of £0.50 to make the "performance chip"

its basically a variable resistor in a box

complete waste of money

All that is, is a variable resistor in a box that give a false reading to the IAT (inlet air temperature) sensor.

There is no way it will give you an extra 40hp on an IS200. lol

So...is there no benefits at all to these kind of gizmos?..just money making schemes?. Sparky, could you literally make the same thing?..

are they that pointless that 'nearly' anyone could make them?

So do they make any difference? Obviously i understand what your saying about price but i have seen them resister 'chip' things on eBay do the actually provide any extra performance at all? Even if they are tricking IAT? Tbh if they are only 50 odd p to make and even give you 5hp surely that's a bargin..... esp if used with a better intake (panel or cone filter with cold air feed) and a decent exhaust system..... if not is there any other mods you can recommend?

I know for a decent output its either turbo or supercharger but i cant afford that just yet and don't have the time to take the car off the road

cheers for reply tho guys
