Loud Clunk

Hello fellow members, hope you all had a great Christmas. I have had my 220d for a couple of months and have noticed that I get a noticeable clunking sound from the front wheels when I am reversing off my drive and am applying a full left lock on the steering. Has anyone else experienced this or who knows what it might be please. Many thanks. P.S. Just thought about this whilst posting, I haven't tried reversing off my drive with a full right lock so don't know if it happens then. Must try it later.

Hello Bluenose1940, there are lot's of postings about this and it's pretty normal behaviour from what I have read. Do a search on this forum. What I have noticed is that it is less pronounced on new rubber and also I haven't noticed it with softer winter rubber now fitted. It will be more noticeable with old summer tyres in colder weather as the tyre "slips" (the clonk noise) across the tarmac.
