Hi is there a simple solution to my auto window to reset it?

It goes down automatically but it won't come up automatically- I've tried the hold for 20 secs etc but no join.....

I think you have to press it to go all the way down ...

then press it to go up ... not long enough to go to the auto function ...

once it is closed keep the button there for a few seconds ...

but make sure the button is not pulled all the way up.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought it worth an answer

I'm a windscreen fitter by trade, and lots of cars have problems with auto-close, usually after the glass has been broken. They wither go into "safe mode" - where it does auto-close, but jumps down a few inches when it reaches the top (the anti-trap sensor needs resetting, which can usually be done with a button press procedure, unplugging the motor for x amount of time, or just use it for a few days and it "remembers" itself) or the auto-close stops functioning completely (it will auto down, but not up)

From experience, the IS doesn't respond to either the button procedure or self fix - the only way, and the "official" way in the windscreen trade, I've found is to completely remove the mech from the door, and wind it fully in and out a few times, then refit.

I have just purchased an RX300 and having the same problem with a rear window not returning all the way.

I have tried holding the switch down and up again but that hasn't work.

Can someone help how to reset this windows anti trap function ?
