Insurance Premium Down - Never Happened Before!

Just received my Insurance renewal-notice, and the Premium has DROPPED - not by much; but this has NEVER happened since I started driving. Any reasons for reductions like reaching 21, then 30 etc, or car-values dropping as they got older and so on, were always overwhelmed by Insurers claiming their Car Insurance divisions already ran at a loss (as if) & increasing repair costs forced them to inrease prices despite really hating to do so (again, as if).

My annual premium is now 221 times that for my first old banger. Is it possible the Insurance Industry is beginning to think it has extracted enough from me?

I've managed to keep mine around the £300.00 mark since I bought the car 6 years ago but the excess creeps up and the limited mileage allowance goes down, not a problem as I have now got used to driving around in reverse all the time!

I to am pleased with my insurance, moved 2 main cars to Admiral who quoted £600 instead of the £960 renewal already in, then I added the Alfa Romeo spider and the quote which dropped by £96 for adding a 3rd car! Got my 450h for less than £300 with business use and the other 2 around £100 fully comp with protected NCD, legal aid and a loan car.

At last some benefit of being a mature fart!

Been with Admiral for years and they have pretty much always been the cheapest. Sadly they couldn't do enough on my new IS-F though wanting £750 even after lots of haggling down from original £975. Went with Privilege in the end for £535.
