Painted Dash

Recommended Posts

I like the black piano dash that you often find in newer cars nowadays, has anybody painted the inside dash of their car, for example the picture below:

I have an aftermarket stereo fitted now and it appears that they are all designed in shiney black plastic. I think painting the dash would look well.

Few other pictures I found, I am not keen on the red, it's very boy-racerish:

I like the idea of this but it would have to be hard wearing. How would you stop it chipping? it looks good but you would be gutted to get it all sprayed up, back on the car and then chip it lol. I would do it though if the paint is tough enough. Also is it painted or vinyl wrapped?

Hello mate i have sprayed mine black and done 3m carbon wrap on the door controls and sills, big job ,took ages to do . to vinyl wrap it all was above my skill levels but it looks loads better than that grey . Also my car is black anyway, yours looks really good mate you ought to do it for more people

not really mate the worst thing is either the dash removal or the masking off inside the car , the carbon wrap its on eBay just look at size you want .If you do it use either a heat gun or hairdryer for moulding the wrap looks loads better than grey .
