Noise From Rear Brakes?

Recently replace my discs and pads (Identical replacements) now when i go round a tight corner i get what i can only describe as a rubbing noise, anyone got any ideas on what could be causing this? i can see anything out of the ordinary.

Have exactly the same problem mate. Had discs and pads all round, OEM parts. Now when cornering or over harsh bumps a scrapping noise can be heard.

I've looked for obvious signs of metal rubbing but can see none. A mechanic looked and said it could be the top hat screw rubbing on the hub as it flexes through cornering etc.

I take it he never indicated how it could be fixed? Really starting to annoy me now.

It's still an ongoing process to actually establish where exactly its coming from. Plus I still need to buy the parts if needed to replace them.

These retaining top hat spring things can be damaged when removing rear discs.

I have put a post up in the main forum section called "Wheel Noise" with a link to a YouTube video of someone thats recorded a noise from his IS - take a look and see if this is similar to yours?
