Lexus Ls400 Celcius

hi guys

Ive just got myself another ls400, but its the celcius ls400. it only has 38000 miles on it and is the mk4 with satnav. my only problem is that its in japanese and when i press the auto button for the heaters, the display on the satnav where you can put the heaters on your feet etc will not light up. any ideas anyone?

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

I guess this is the Toyota Celsior which was on Gumtree for sale in Hull.

First rule when buying a car is make sure everything works and it it don't ask the seller why before parting with the cash and driving off.

You will need to get hold of an owners manual for the UK version which should explain what all the buttons do but some may be different.

I don't know if it's just a case of swopping the disc in the sat nav for UK use but the only radio station you will pick up on FM is radio 2 as the Japanese frequencies are different.

I take it the speedo has been converted and delimited from 112mph?

A bit of advice, don't insure it as a Lexus LS400 it is a Toyota Celsior import and you may find you have no cover if you try to insure it as a Lexus and you are involved in an incident.
