Change Standard Radio To Sat

can anyone tell me if its easy to change my standard radio to sat, the question in mind is the sat i am looking at as the dvd box aswell, mine is a 1998 and the sat comes out of a 2000 so will there be spair plugs in the wiring loom for the dvd and sat, or will i need extra wiring fitted ?

No idea if the looms are there or not, but don't recall them in my '99 GS300 when I had most stuff out putting aftermarket stuff in (it was non Nav car). Also not sure if the wiring is the same for the climate control (it is all built into the satnav touch screen and surround). I want to go the opposite way in my GS430, and take out the Nav, but not found a non Nav climate control panel cheap enough to try the swap around.

Also don't forget you need the gps unit as well as the DVD unit and head unit.

ok cheers rick, i have been told the dvd is eather in boot or under front passager seat, i have had a look in both places but cant see a spair plug anywhere, the sat i looking at as sockets on the back 3 at bottom 2 in centre and 2 at top, i know my radio as 3 sockets which look like the 3 bottom ones not sure about how many my climate control i have tried to look for any photos on here but cant find any, didnt fancy taking mine out to chec.k

Have a look at the US site there is a guide on there looks simple just the parts that add up. Nav is nice to have but sometimes lacking the post code can be a pain . But having a 2001 car with touch screen sat nav and computer ect is nice considering other makes didn't have this for a while
