my cd changer packed in..got a top deck one but the connectors are different..anyway of changing them...old stereo has a 18 pin connector new one has a 20 pin connector...but funnily enough the ne w and old connectors only have 13 wires each on each....put are all different coulours....please help....

If you orig stereo was a bottom loader then you have to replace it with a bottom loader sorry.

The connections could be swapped, but that means buying the stereo loom for the top loading unit and cutting both ends off, finding the corresponding wires and soldering them together (royal pain in the butt)

Or skip them both and go after market.

the model number on front of stereo has to be the same wether its a top loader or not, as theres a few different models even though they look the same, as you have found out. Make sure the numbers match 13902 ect.
