Ls460 Se-L A Does Anyone Know What The A Is For ?

Hi there this is my first post on hear so bear with me i also have a lexus LS460 SE-L i know what the SE-L stands for its SPECIAL EQUIPMENT - LUXURY.

But my question is, on my log book and hpi check it came up as LEXUS LS460 SE-L A what does the A stand for i thought it may of stand for automatic but they are all automatic can any one clear this up for me ??

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

I am not sure if this applies to the LS600 series but all other JDM Lexus LS models had various specification packages available these were A ,B,C and CF with A being the lowest specification and CF being the highest.

Things like velour seats instead of leather, no sunroof, vibrating rear massage seats were all options depending on the specification.

Whether this applies to UK models I don't know but it may be worth asking your dealer the question at your next service you could perhaps tell us what it means,

BTW I thought the L meant long wheelbase not luxury.

Thanks Steve , well my Lexus is a SE-L which is top of the range for toys so if the A was identifying the interior level I don’t think it would be classed as basic , also in 2006 there was no LWB if it was it would show as LS460L not LS460 SE-L I think anyway

will ask around and see what else I can find out Steve thanks again .

My wife has a Honda Civic EX S A as per her Log Book, where S A stands for semi automatic. Could A just signify that this is an Auto Car?
