Rear Mirror Adjustment On Reverse

Recommended Posts

Hi Members

I have a RX400h 2008. Recently I drove a friend of mines same vehicle. It had a nice feature on the rear view mirrors. It angles towards blind corners on Revers position of the gear. I played around with the mirror folding/unfolding switch and the mirror selection switch to see whether one combination gives this feature on my vehicle. I was unlucky so far.

On the contrary my mirrors fold in automatically when I lock the car vs his stays same. I realised that this could be a program setting or a configuration somewhere to activate these features.

Can someone help me with this observations and share some knowledge?

Regards

Nana

Mine is a Feb'09 model. If the mirror selection switch is left in the middle position, the mirrors do not move when selecting reverse. However, if the left or right mirror is selected, then the mirrors dip when reversing. I have a separate button to fold the mirrors in.

I'd be interested to know if there is a way to program the mirrors to fold in automatically when the engine is switched off.
