Ive just got my first lex. Its a 2000, i wanted a older one for the lower tax... oldest car ive ever owned was 2002. however im paranoid its going to go wrong having such a old car, i keep telling myself these cars are bullet proof... so glad to hear posts like this. Nice GS300 btw, im in shropshire too (shrewsbury) ill look out for it :)

cheers rich few small advisory`s not much tho, had to have wheel bearing done the onther week tho i noticed it when i came back from cornwall but unfortuntely had to get new hub aswel as that was not worth putting new bearing in

Newport Shropshire here, my 2002 GS just keeps on passing the MOT had her 6 years now I see the road tax just keeps on going up £270 now, my insurance is only £220 fully comp ..Just crazy. my GS will out live me.

I'm with Admiral multi-car. Costs me £570 to cover my GS430 Sport, and my VW Corrado VR6, 42 years old, full NCB, 3 points and both declared as modified.

Churchill agreed on £291 for my GS430 renewal in CV3 postcode (16/10/2012) but when I informed them I would be in LN13 postcode by renewal date it was revised to £173 which has just been paid. They also refunded £29 on wife's insurance which was taken out in August so her annual premium dropped to around £160. Both fully comp and named driver on each others insurance. Was also nice that they didn't impose any amendment charges for the change of address.
