Hi,

found this forum while searching info about the GS300,

Eventually I bought a GS300 SE-L a few days ago and so far I really like it for my current needs.

I have a NOOB question.

I didn't even know there was a AWD version of the GS300 2006 but I cannot find much information about it online. Indeed my question is...

- Was an AWD option for the GS300 ever released in UK?

- Or... (which would be a nice surprise) are all GS300 SE-L 2006 AWD?

I didn't see any AWD in the specifications of my GS300 and I don't think most GS300 in UK are AWD as I can't find many online in UK but AWD is more frequent when searching for GS300 on US sites.

Any of you guys has a GS300 AWD? I saw some review online saying that the AWD version adds weight and on a GS300 makes it worse when driving up-hill due to the overall CarWeight/CarBHP specs

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

I wasn't aware of a 4WD version either, the RX and LS600 are I believe.

It could be as you say limited to the USA/Japan

There were versions of the SC400 known as the Toyota Soarer in Japan having 4 wheel steering so anything is possible I guess as an option.

The easiest way to determine if your car is 4WD is to look at the front hubs, if they have drive shafts it is if not it is rear wheel drive only.

I guess it's not AWD then, they would surely advertise it somewhere if it was.
