Lines On Sat Nav Screen.

Recommended Posts

Im getting some faint horizontal lines on my sat nav screen. They come and go but are mostly visible with the night colours displayed on the screen.

Just wondering if you guys think it's interference or if the screen is on its way out.

Car is an 02 is200.

thanks for your help

The only issue I've had with my sat nav screen is that sometimes it gets really dark as though some of the colours aren't loading properly... bang it or wait a few minutes and it comes back to full colour...odd!

There is a small mylar strip (it looks like plastic but has copper lines in it) from the board to the screen. You'll have to take the flip unit out and take it apart, then try re-seating the mylar cable.Be careful though, it may have a crack/rip in it and just be about to go. If it goes you will need to use some conductive paint on it to restore the track.
