Took My Baby For A Spin

Well decided to take the 99** LS400 for a run to Exeter.

Drive was as expected namely rattle & fuss free. Left a few BMW's in my wake, hit the gas (forgot how quick it is looked down & before I knew it was doing a ton SWBO told me to stop behaving like a kid & slow down).

Anyway visited Lexus Exeter & met Steve, nice chap, nice coffee, According to SWBO no matter how hard I tried I couldn't annoy him. I also understand he's a recent member of this site.

Going back next Sunday to test drive an IS cos SWBO likes them

Incidentally asked about an New LS600 demo & they don't have one, too costly, They have to book one from Lexus UK if they want one to demo AND it costs them £500.

I asked if we could have a meet & Steve suggested it might be possible & they might be able to arrange for a number models to be available to test drive.

Yes!!! I went along to a similar open day run by Lexus Swindon at a Hotel just outside Swindon. You could test drive the new GS, RX and the had an ISF.

I didn't get to drive any of them, got there too late and the queue was massive, especially for the ISF!

I understand But having 'The Lexus Owners Club' there to support the brand would certainly be to their advantage when we all tell tales of how we just LOVE them & how reliable they are.

So I would expect us all to have preferential treatment when it come to the test drive

They made me wait until the end but I didn't give up, just kept eating the food but it was worth it.

i went to a fantastic open road day about 18 months ago and it was Fab... drove the new LS and i was blown away how comfy those seats were
