Coming Back To The Ls430

Recommended Posts

Just signing in again after a long layoff. I've had 2 x LS400 and 1 x LS430 since 1990. Sold the LS430 last August after 5 trouble free and cosseting years. Replaced it with a Volvo v70 D5. Whilst the Volvo is very competent and the seats are as comfortable for me as the Lexus, I am having pangs to own another LS430. My last one was a 2000 X, Canterbury blue with beige leather and looked as pretty as a picture. Can't think why I sold her as she had only travelled 96k miles.

Would like to hear from anyone who can give me a personal view of the facelift 2003/7 improvements and if they were much better in any respect.

I had one for a very short 5 weeks went back to a LS 400, Voice command everything, keyless entry & go 6 speed auto box with tiptronic. 2005 on has radar cruise control 18'' alloys. I'm sure there must be outher bits & bobs, someone will be along soon i'm sure.

I wouldnt get an ls430 ever again. I think the ls400 is better in many ways and more reliable as the ls430 has too many toys that can go wrong. I think the 400 is better build
