Loud Squealing Brakes

Sorry if there's already a post on this but I got through 10 pages of searching and gave up.

My IS220 makes a terrible squealing sound when I brake. I think it's only the front offside but I can't tell for sure. It's so loud and annoying (and embarrassing) that I can't drive with the window down.

Last week it went into a Lexus dealer for its MOT and service which I assumed would sort it out. They replaced a caliper that was ceasing up and it had new pads and discs last year, but it's still doing it.

It happens regardless of speed, although it may be slightly less loud when braking at lower speed.

Any ideas what it might be or how to solve it?

Thanks in advance

  • 5 weeks later...

I have got squealing brakes on the near side, having a brake service done this week, near side is giving a lot of brake dust more than the off side, possible the brake is not releaseing on the near side and is also getting very hot.
