I'd be interested in any replies you get, as we've moved to the south east coast, and I quite fancy a grown up convertible.

However, they seem a rare car, so responses may be a bit thin on the ground.

If you do get one, please let us know how you get on with it.

may have to pay for AA or RAC inspection but if buy will let you know how I get on

They are rare, ive only ever seen one. However pretty sure they were heavily based on the standard IS250 which is a very good car. I dont know why they are so rare really though, if i wanted a convertible it would be on the top of my list

I've had my 2009 IS250C since 2011. It was used by a Director of Lexus and has every add-on possible. I've driven it all over the UK, France, Spain and Morrocco, with no problems at all. The average mpg on a run to the south of France, where I live most of the year, is 34mpg, carrying 4 adults and luggage and with the cruise control set at 130kmh (80mph) My only criticism is the quality of the sat-nav maps and the interaction between the system and my Iphone ie voice control. As to everything else I cannot fault it. It will never be as fast as an Audi I once tried, but beats all for style and comfort. Buy one!

went to look at it again on Monday and decided to go with a GS300 SE

the IS 250c is lovely but am very tall and the compromise at the end of the day was roof off or loads more comfort

so went with the comfort and will collect on Friday but can't believe how much the tax is !!
