Paint Problem

Hi guys: I have a slight problem with the paint on the O.S front wing the lacquer has started to peel off, it is only about 3"x 2" at the moment but knowing my luck it will get bigger, any ideas on the way to fix it other than a full wing respray Cheers.

try and source a second hand wing - that way due to the age of the paint it will match better

As Mark says it would be better to source a idenical S/H wing but it is unlikely to be perfect and by the time it as been taken off the donor vehicle will probably have issues as well.A good paint shop will prepare and spray your present wing for a decent price and that to my belief is the best solution .By the way Mark laquered surfaces do not show paint fade.

It cannot be successfully 'touched up' , sanding down and respray is the only cure.

It's most likely 'clear over base' finish.......
