I feel yet another visit to the dealer is going to be the answer but I thought I'd ask here first.

When the rear drivers side door on my MK2 GS300 is opened, the exit light on the door and reading light no longer illuminate. I cannot see any kind of push switch around the door frame so is it built into the door lock mechanism? If so, is is easy to fix or should I take it to the dealer (I have my own reserved parking space now) and see if I can play the old warranty trump card again.

A trip for the dealer for you! The switch is sealed within the lock mechanism, which in itself is a pain to get to. I think the only fix is replace the lock. Must be a common problem as my off-side passenger door had the same problem.

Thanks Colin. Another problem that I've got, is that whenever I put the car in cruise and let go of the steering wheel, it automatically drives to the dealers. Oh well, looks like that problem might be of some use yet.
