Knock/clunk Noise Front And Rear

When reversing and braking and turning (one action) I get a knocking/clunking noise fron the front and when reversing up over the lip of a driveway from the back. I took it to my trusted engineer who looked at the ball joints and pronounced them to be fine and tight. (Just what I like... tight ball joints! ).

Still though the problem persists - any ideas?

It's fairly common - I've got it too!

I've had the anti roll bars tightened, still happens. It could be the pads moving in the brake calipers, or something to do with the suspension turrets..

Mine does this as well. I did some 'experiments' and found that it usually only happens while braking at low speed & turning sharply (into my drive). Put it down to brake pads moving against the (brake) pistons.

I'm going to try a bit of copperslip on the back of the pads next time I have the wheels off.

Mine does it every morning as I take it out of the garage, turn and brake. Only once, then fine for the day. Very loud noise though.

I also think it is the brake pads aligning themselves in the calipers. Maybe copperslip is the answer. We discussed it in the NZ club, and most IS' do it.
