Central Locking

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I normally lock my car using the remote. However the other day the kids were in the car, so I thought I'd lock it using the key. Should all doors lock using the key? On my car it only locked the drivers door.

Thanks

That's cos it does only lock the drivers door, it doesn't central lock the others using the key. Press the power lock button on the drivers door to lock the other doors then get out and lock the drivers door with the key. That's the only way of doing it manually :)

Next time just press the lock twice and that will double lock the doors but disable the alarm and im pretty sure it can be still opened from the inside too

Yeah this only works on cars with the double lock feature. Not all had it, my old 200 did but my 300 doesn't. Quick way to tell, if when you press the lock button twice the indicators should flash 5 times if you have double locking plus you can clearly hear the double clunk as the doors lock
