Oil Leak Update

Right, the car has been looked over and it transpires there is a small hole in a joint in the transmission oil cooler pipe.

VERY small leak. Part is on order to get repaired under warranty Apparently the oil level is barely impacted so i will be taking the car back in the mean time.

Glad i took out extended warranty.

At least they found the leak, and it's getting sorted under the warranty.

Yeah. 3 hours labour plus parts so wouldn't have been cheap.

Must be hard to get at to replace though ,maybe it' something that could be a fault on all isf s

If you notice small patch of oil on your drive maybe this.

Takes 1 week to get part in so not too shabby.

generally speaking folks, what has gone wrong on our isfs? After 6000 miles all I've found is terrible geo which ruined the front tyres. Passed mot recently but hasn't yet been in for service. anyone else had an oil leak or any other issues?

For m, i am anal though!

1. Had to have steering alligned two times but this is due to pot holes so not really one for this list.

2. Headlights get moisture in them - Waiting baclk on warantly claim at the moment

3. Calliper laquer was peeling. Not mechanical and i guess to be expected over time.

4. Wheels were bubbling around the centre cap. VERY slight but noticable. Again not mechanical.

5. Driver side seat has play in it. Got it looked at and was told it is safe so no warrantly claim possible and also no way to tighten it i.e. no lose bolts etc

6. Very slight rattle from panel covering instrument cluster from time to time, mainly over rough roads. Not an issue and again not mechanical.

Compared to other cars I have owned this car is epic! Very quiet, very well built, no rattles inside other than the 1 mentioned, no mechanical faults other than the one mentioned. I have been through a service and MOT.
