I'd recommend GoodYear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2s.. Got them on the rears and they have amazing wet grip, good fuel eff and quiet.. Also not too bad on the wallet... I struggle to get the rear end out in heavy rain even when im trying xD

Thanks guys for the responses. Anyone tried the new Continental sport 5's, apparently they are supposed to give good grip.

Also the age old debate of tyre pressures. I have the standard 215/45/17's and have been advised by both my local Lexus dealer and the suspension place i have used for years to have 38/39 due to the weight of the car even unloaded and i am certainly getting more mileage and a better feel from using that? I seem to remember most use 33 all round.

Michelin primacy are superb for comfort grip etc ,

I'm running a set of these for these for a year. (225/45/17)They are awesome tyres with great grip and are nice and quiet.

They do actually improve fuel consumption too , it states that in the spec and they do work.fill with nitrogen too .

Hi Rich,

I have heard that some run the 225's rather than the standard 215's, do you think that helps grip and do they fit ok with no rubbing?

Hey Andy...

I bought 225's a few days after I bought the car, so cannot really compare to the 215's. I have no issues with grip in both went and dry weather....but then again, I don't exactly have a high performance car. :-)

I felt the 225's look a bit better as they are slightly wider....no issues with rubbing even on full turn....and my car is kinda low as well....

I'd say fit 225's instead of 215's... They didn't cost any more as well...
