Is200 Alarm

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question guys...

This morning I popped to the shops and when I came home I got out and pressed the Door lock button on the fob, the doors locked as normal and the indicators flashed once as normal also.

The alarm then went off a couple of times randomly so I popped out and locked the car again.

I noticed that if I press the lock button once you hear the doors lock and indicators flash once and if I press it again I hear the doors make another noise but I don't get the five indicator flashes.

Is that the double locks... I thought if it double locked it flashed five times or is that to indicate something else?

Cheers guys.

Hi. I wondered the same when i bought mine. Found the answer in the manual. but basically press once for single locking and sonar alarm. press again to disable the alarm and double lock. I often double lock if i leave the windows cracked or if the car washers are washing my car. Maybe if you left a animal or child in the car it would be useful too

the behaviour is dependant on age. The early models always double locked and the second press deactivates the motion sensor (not the whole alarm) and flashes 5 times.

Later models allowed the double locking with a second press. To disable the motion sensors there is some other procedure you need to go through not just double pressing.
