Just to be pedantic....de tomaso was never an American car, sold by ford through their dealers in mid seventies for sure, but introduced '71 if I recall, and built in Italy....de tomaso himself was Argentinian so the plot thickens haha...last of line of traditional mid engined sports cars from the vallengula, thru mangusta, which was meant to be a bit of a widow maker, to the pantera....Alejandro de tomaso must have close links with ford throughout because im sure the wee vallengula had a ford 1600 engine, the mangusta had a ford v8 as did the pantera and all his other seventies and eighties produce....

I think, Italy being Italy, he even produced an de tomaso innocenti mini when he owned innocenti..the wee box shaped innocenti, not the mini shaped mini if you see what I mean...?....anyhow, sorry to be pedantic....AND nice choices...haha
